In some ways, it will be easier than you expect. Longboards are used to make it easier for first-timers to learn and to stand up. After the first pop-up, your confidence will rise. 

But in other ways it will be harder: Where you place your feet? When you pop-up? When you padel harder? 

The goal is to give you the building blocks and advice to continue improving your surfing on your own. It's about getting better on your pop-ups, finding your centre, and building your confidence on the surfboard.

Your surf lessons are normally in the mornings however there are also afternoon sessions.

Because of this, it is recommended to eat something light, something nutritious that will not weigh you down.

If you are new in the beautiful world of surfing then the instructor is the king or queen of the day. They’ll tell you about surf safety and introduce you to surfing. The coaching starts on the land where you will learn how to lay on the board, how to paddle how to sit and how to pop up. In the water you will fall, you will swallow water and you will feel that you are the worst student ever, which is completely fine. Surfing as any other sport needs practice but the beauty of it is that also the first experience is a lot of fun.

Many beginners also manage to pop up a few times before the end of the class which feels like you won the Oscars.
