Well, it depends on your interest. We believe that the best way of organizing a week of fun activities is first finding out what you wish to do. 

 

It might be spending more time near the ocean, like going scuba diving with turtles and trying kayaking; or maybe you’re a mountain dude and you want to spend the week hiking or maybe a bit of everything.

If you're looking for things to do in Tenerife, an itinerary can be a great help. With so much to see and do on the island, it's easy to get overwhelmed. But with a little planning, you can make sure you don't miss the highlights. 

Here are some things to consider when organizing your week in Tenerife:

- What are your interests? Whether you're a fan of hiking, beaches, or nightlife, make sure you include activities that suit your interests.

- How much time do you have? If you only have a few days, you'll need to make the most of every minute. However, if you have a week or more, you can afford to take things at a slower pace.

One week in Tenerife Itinerary for couples 

Best for active couples who like to make the most out of their holiday.

 

1st day: Arrival Day-depending where your accommodation will be, we will send you recommendations of what you can visit, where can you eat and few beaches close by. 

 

2nd day: It’s time to discover the Atlantic Ocean with a Sailing boat-3 hours whale watching boat trip in Playa de las Americas or from Los Gigantes The captain will wait for you in Puerto Colon harbor with a glass of champaign and you will start your journey. It’s a small group experience with maximum 11 passengers.

 

During your trip you will have the possibility to see pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins in their natural habitat. You will also be able to cool down while snorkeling in a remote bay. No need to worry about food neither as you will be served sandwiches, snacks, fruits and drinks.

3rd day: Discover Mount Teide volcano like a real traveller-2 hours easy hiking trip in the National Park of El Teide.

The Park is the biggest national park on the Canary Islands and is full of hiking trails.

El Teide is a place that should be at the top of the must-see list of everyone who visits the island. It was considered a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2007.  

 

This is a scenic hike with a professional local guide. No need to worry about the transportation as we will take care of it. Just let us know your accommodation and will let you know where and when will be the pick-up.

4th day: Up in the air with a tandem Paragliding flight-20-25 minutes tandem flight which starts from Ifonche, 1.100m of altitude.  

 

Paragliding starts from the ground usually the top of a hill or mountain, then uses wind forces to help the pilot maintain in the air. Almost anyone can do it. It doesn’t require any special skills. Putting on the harness and the helmet are first, then the pilot will give you all the necessary instructions for having a really pleasant experience. 

 

It’s an unforgettable experience in the south of Tenerife. When and how? Timing depends on wind so we will be in touch to see when is the best time to fly and then organize the pickup for you.

5th day: Go underwater with a real Submarine-a 55 minutes dive, 30m deep in a submarine isn’t something you will ever forget.  

 

This family-friendly undersea voyage opens the mysterious world of the Atlantic Ocean. See firsthand a captivating scenery, sunken ships and isolated treasures.

Inside the submarine, a normal atmospheric condition is maintained so your ears will not be affected. Along the fully narrated way, you can observe different schools of fish and two shipwrecks. Transportation is on us, so just let us know and we’ll organize it for you.

6th day: SUP Day-a 2 hours stand up paddleboarding on the southern coast. Did you know that SUP is the fastest growing ocean sport? 

 

Whether you are looking for a full body work out or just want to leisurely paddle around and check out marine life, Stand Up Paddle Boarding is the answer for you. It is one of the most relaxing activity you can do anywhere in the Canary Islands.

It’s a different and fun view of Tenerife from a sea view perspective. During the tour, the guide will show you the best spots of south Tenerife and escape from crowded places. Pick up will be half an hour before the tour and then after the trip we will make sure you get home.

Of course, other activities can be added: we recommend for bike lovers go for a guided road bike tour. We organize with local guides and hotel pick-ups. The Canary islands, especialy Tenerife and Gran canaria are well known across Europe for their cycling trails.

 

Furthermore, we cannot forget the Siam Park and the Loro Parque. For water lovers there isn’t a better way to spend a day, then to go to Siam Park. It is located in the south part of Tenerife and is open every day of the year. 

Loro Parque is for those who want to visit one of the biggest animal kingdoms in the World. It is located in Puerto de la Cruz but transfer can be organized every day. 

 

Then, for those of you looking for something more different, visiting the Teide National Park by night for stargazing or going scuba diving with turtles might be the best options to specie things up.

Or maybe you woule like to go for a cultural tour or different hiking tours and visit Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Puerto de la Cruz, Icod de los Vinos and and the lovely town of La Orotava.

One week Tenerife itinerary for solo travellers 

 

For those who don’t need a travel companion to make the most of visiting Tenerife.

 

1st day: Arrival Day-First things first: Be a tourist and let Tenerife take you. Watch the sunset on El Duque beach and have dinner in a typical Spanish restaurant (Meson Castellano) then finish the day with a beer in Santelmo.  

 

2nd day: It’s time to activate yourself: Learn to surf in Playa de Las Americas- The benefit of visiting the island is that it has a warm ocean all year long. Temperature goes from 18 °C to 24 °C during the whole year and has a great variety of surf spots and a huge community. 

Playa de las Americas is a free beach with reef breaks and the waves are persistent.   

It is one of the most consistent places to surf anywhere in Europe.

3rd day: Hit the roads with an Ebie. Biking is all about freedom, courage, passion, and the joy of discovery. Explore the southern part of the island; eat in a local restaurant (El Cordero); find hidden beaches in the area of Los Abrigos.

It’s probably the easiest way to get to know the place on your own. The bike will be brought to your accommodation and then we will pick it up from there.

4th day: Try out something new. It’s time for Canyoning in Los Arcos. If there is one thing about Tenerife that makes travelers come back is the number of unspoiled places.  

Barranco de Los Arcos is one of the most attractive canyons for the local canyoners of the island and also for travelers. 

It is a very exciting adventure for lovers of geology and this sport. Los Arcos ravine is located in the north part of Tenerife, very close to La Orotava at an altitude of 1.000 meters above sea level. For this experience, you will need a car but no worries, we will help you out just let us know the type of car you need.

5th day:  Rest all day to be prepared for the most amazing night experience ever: watching the stars from the Teide National Park. The island is also an astronomer’s dream. By hiking at night you gain new perspectives while escaping crowds.

The Teide National Park is far removed from any large city, meaning that the skies above it are perfect for viewing planets, stars, and satellites. 

This stargazing tour is the perfect way to see El Teide unusually.

6th day: Up in the sky with an acrobatic tandem paragliding flight. You need to go crazy before you go 😊  

The acrobatic flight is kind of what it sounds like the art of pulling tricks and stunts in the air. The acro flight is much more than a simple ride, consists of wingovers and deep spirals and can get to a speed of 10m/s.
